Russell Peters

Russell Peters is an enrolled citizen of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe. Russ is a self- taught artist of mixed media including sketching, acrylic, and water color producing works that reflect his indigenous beliefs and cultural experience. Russ is well traveled throughout Indian Country where he has sat among many traditional drum groups and also been an outspoken activist against injustice against Native Peoples. He has worked most of his life as a carpenter to earn his living and is only able to produce occasional works that often stun those who are unaware of his talent.
