Call for Committee Members

The Cape Cod Modern House Trust is looking for volunteer committee members for:

Development Committee

Members will oversee the formulation and execution of fundraising strategies. Experience in local and/or national fundraising and development opportunities and grant application processes is a plus.

Events Committee

This committee will oversee the planning, promotion, administration and staffing of events that raise public awareness about the Trust’s mission and programs.Past events include the CCMHT House Tour in collaboration with Castle Hill, the 2009 Symposium, the 2010 Modern House Film Fest at PAAM, the Wellfleet Library Lecture Series, an on-line auction, and parties and open houses at the Kugel/Gips House.

Artist and Scholar Residency Committee

Members will help revamp the application process, create a juried selection process, and oversee administration of the artist / scholar residencies.

Building Committee

Members will help plan and execute new restoration projects as well as maintenance of the houses presently leased by the Trust, including the vetting of subcontractors, consultation on restorations, and assistance in procuring donations of materials and labor.

Interiors Committee

Members will help maintain and curate the house interiors including furniture, art, books, appliances, linens, and resident turnovers.

We are looking for a mix of Cape and off-Cape residents. There will be coordination between committees as many of their programs and goals overlap and when possible we will all get together to share ideas and experience.

It's clear from our events that the people interested in this project are a resourceful, accomplished and dedicated group. We look forward to working closely with you to carry on the challenging work before us.
